WOULD YOU LIKE FORMALDEHYDE WITH YOUR FRIES?by Dusty R. Green, M.Ed., Research Scientist/Author Diet Sodas -- Our True "Fountain of Youth" It is a known-fact in the scientific community that methanol (wood alcohol) in aspartame coverts to formaldehyde when the temperature of aspartame exceeds 86 degrees Farenheit causing a multitude of side effects. Formaldehyde is grouped in the same class as cyanide and arsenic which are deadly poisons. Formic acid is another bi-product of methanol which is the poison found in the sting of fire ants. |
Side-Effects? Surely Not!
Clinically, chronic exposure to methanol has been shown to produce headaches, dizziness, nausea, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), gastrointestinal disturbances, weakness, vertigo, chills, memory lapses, numbness & shooting pains, behavioral disturbances, neuritis, blurring of vision, conjunctivitis, insomnia, vision loss, depression, heart problems (including disease of the heart muscle), and pancreatic inflammation (Kavet 1990, Monte 1984, Posner 1975).
Aspartame Disease is considered, partially, the cause to what is behind the mystery of "Desert Storm" health issues. Burning tongue and other problems discussed in over 60 cases can be directly related to the consumption of products that contain aspartame. Several thousand pallets of diet drinks were shipped to "Desert Storm" troops (heat can liberate the methanol from the aspartame at 86 degrees Farenheit). Diet drinks sat in the 120 degree Farenheit Arabian sun for weeks at a time on pallets. The service men and women drank them all day long. All of their symptoms and side-effects are identical to aspartame poisoning.
